INAMY (Indonesian North American Muslim Youth) in collaboration with ICMI, PERMIAS, Minang USA, Local Government of West Sumatra, supported by the Embassies and Consulate Generals of Republic of Indonesia in U.S. and Canada, Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs of Republic of Indonesia, will hold " 1st Annual My Beautiful Summer Camp Minangkabau Indonesia 2012". The program is intended for Indonesian Muslim Youth, Indonesian American, and Indonesian Canadian living in North America.

This annual program is planned to be held in a different province in Indonesia each year. It is meant to improve the Indonesian Muslim Youth’s awareness and love for Indonesia, by introducing them to Indonesian culture, traditions, and its natural beauty.

This year, activities will be held in the province of West Sumatra and capital city of Jakarta for 21 (twenty one) days from July 3-23, 2012. Set out together from Houston, after one day of orientation at the Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia in Houston, TX.

Program
Trips to the centers of religious, education, government, history and tourism as well as meetings with youth leaders in West Sumatra. Participants also will live with host families.

Admission

Requirements
1. Indonesian or Indonesian descent youth aged 17-24 years living in the United States and Canada.
2. Well physically and spiritually
3. Willing to follow the rules and regulations during the activity.
4. Each participant is required to have travel insurance.
Youth aged 15-16 years who are interested to follow the activities, must meet specific requirements in writing, prepared by the committee.

Costs
The cost of activities is estimated at USD 2000 which includes;
Plane tickets Houston - Jakarta PP,
Airline tickets Jakarta - Padang PP,
The cost of food during the trip Houston - Padang – Houston
(Participant will be informed if actual costs are more or less than estimated)
Meals and Lodging while in Indonesia will be borne by the Sponsor

Visa
Participants who hold a non-Indonesian passport and need visa, please inform the committee at the time of registration.
